Sure, it’s a preseason college football coaches poll, but — HEY! — it has the Oklahoma Sooners in the #1 spot and the Oklahoma State Cowboys at #8, so I simply had to share it in this space. BOOMER SOONER or GO POKES? Because I grew up a Sooners fan before graduating from Oklahoma State [...]

Former Texas Tech Football Coach Mike Leach Still Battling to Clear Name and Rebuild Reputation
July 30th, 2011 · No Comments
I’ve written several posts about Mike Leach since Dec. 30, 2009, the day he was fired from his position as head football coach at Texas Tech University. I reported on rumors, including one that claimed he was “swift-boated” in a fashion similar to the one that cost John Kerry the presidency in 2004. And I [...]

Mike Leach Profile Remains on Texas Tech Web Site
January 7th, 2010 · 1 Comment
Arguably one of the most innovative coaches in the country, Mike Leach not only has transformed Texas Tech Football, but also the face of college football with an all-out aerial assault. This is evidenced by the number of programs incorporating more passing into their schemes than before. Leach’s offense has become a hot commodity as [...]
