Once a Category 5 storm, Hurricane Barack is beginning to weaken, according to election forecasters. Below is a time line of the storm’s track: July 27, 2004 — The storm first appeared on the political radar, having surfaced from the weather underground as a no-name tropical depression during the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston. Bill Clinton Bites Lower Lip, Endorses Obama

President Bill Clinton delivered a stemwinder of a speech to the assembled masses inside the Pepsi Center in Denver tonight. Not surprisingly, he forced his Democratic National Convention audience to listen to him blather on for nearly three times his 10-minute allotment of time. Obviously, “change” isn’t part of his vocabulary.

According to one of this blog’s trusted contacts in the Mile High City, unnamed Denver city officials are concerned that RECREATE ’68 activists might rage against the Democratic Party machine in conjunction with a concert by the volatile rap group, Rage Against the Machine, tonight. Of course, the fact that those activists arrived this morning [...]

What Hillary Meant to Say Was…
August 27th, 2008 · 2 Comments
During the speech Hillary Clinton delivered last night at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, she used a newly-created slogan — “No way, no how, no McCain” — in a half-hearted jab at the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, John McCain. Sen. Hillary Clinton took the stage of the Democratic National Convention in Denver tonight amidst much fanfare, many waving signs and minutes of feigned-for-television enthusiasm. In the end, however, I can only conclude that she, like so many other liberals, has succumbed to “Obamamania.” Below is a rough transcript of the first several minutes of [...]

Pro-Life Demonstrations Finally Get Coverage
August 26th, 2008 · No Comments
It took several days, but I finally found a snippet of news media coverage of pro-life demonstrations at the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver. The snippet — in the form of the photo and caption above — was published six days after I published “Why Are You Targeting the Black Community?”, a post about [...]

What’s Hillary Doing Behind Obama’s Back?
August 26th, 2008 · No Comments
Hoping to dampen disunity rumors at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Hillary Clinton staffers told reporters today that “Hillary is behind Barack Obama.” Immediately upon hearing that spin, I couldn’t help but wonder whether Hillary is holding a knife and waiting for an opportunity to stab Barack Obama in the back or simply planning [...]
