A ten percent drop in murders during the first six months of this year at a time when gun sales were up dramatically is more proof that there is no correlation between gun ownership and violent crime, say officials with the Second Amendment Foundation.

I think it would be funny if, one day soon, the economy turned around and credit for the turn-around went to those folks then-candidate Barack Obama described as “bitter” folks who “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them.” With President Obama in the White House, anything is possible, right?
