Republicans Begin Push to Repeal ‘ObamaCare’

With news out of Washington, D.C., that House Republicans will, today, begin their push to repeal ObamaCare (a.k.a., “The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act”), I’m offering another look at my video interviews with doctors, patients and others on the subject of government-run health care.

The first video (below) appeared in a March 25 post, ‘I Wouldn’t Want to Wish This Upon Anybody’, and features the story of liver transplant recipient Jim Rice and his wife, Cynthia.

The second video (below) is an excerpt of a longer video that appeared in a Nov. 21, 2009, post, ‘Million Med March’ Draws Hundreds in St. Louis.  It features health care professionals sharing their opinions about ObamaCare reforms that, at the time of the interviews, had not become law.

The third video (below) appeared in my Nov. 17, 2009, post, Labor Boss Acknowledges Own ‘Lambourghini Health Plan’ at Single-Payer Strategy Conference.  It features a supporter of government-run healthcare, UAW International Union Executive Committee Member Jerry Tucker, “spilling the beans” about union members enjoying “the Lambourghini of health care plans” — not just the Cadillac!

If you oppose having the government making health care decisions for you, CONTACT YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS IN THE NATION’S CAPITOL, let them know how you feel, and make sure they know you’ll be watching their votes.

Glenn Beck Talks Unions, Health Plans, Socialists

I was so happy to see Glenn Beck talk about labor unions, “Cadillac Health Plans” and the socialists involved in each during his show today on Fox News Channel.  Why?  Because, two months ago, I captured a half-dozen liberal heavyweights talking about those very subjects on video.

Speaking before a crowd of ultra-liberal single-payer health care advocates attending the 2009 Healthcare-Now.org National Strategy Conference Nov. 14-15, I caught UAW International Union heavyweight Jerry Tucker talking about a “Lambourghini Health Plan” (See video below).

Next, I caught National Organization for Women President Terry O’Neill announcing her feminist, pro-abortion organization’s launch of a push for single-payer health care as an alternative to the bills floating about Congress at the time — bills single-payer advocates said did not go far enough toward placing government in charge of the nation’s health care system.  She’s featured in the next two videos.

As the only journalist to penetrate the meeting undiscovered, I found the conference chock-full of liberal ideology.

In addition to the speakers above, I caught Michael Lighty, the former national director of the Democratic Socialists of America, Tim Carpenter, executive director of Progressive Democrats of America, and two more ultra-liberals strategizing to take over one-sixth of the nation’s economy.

Health Care ‘Compromise’ Equals Single-Payer

Healthcare-Now National Strategy Conf LogoWith many conservatives, including Michelle Malkin, saying the so-called “compromise” on health care reform equates to a “single-payer” health care model, I feel compelled to point you to eight posts (with videos) that I published soon after “crashing” — and recording — all six of the single-payer power brokers who spoke during the opening session of the 2009 Healthcare-Now.org National Strategy Conference Nov. 14-15 in St. Louis.

Their remarks, captured in videos ranging from 4 to 10 minutes each, show exactly what Americans have to look forward to if single-payer health care becomes a reality:

Single-Payer Advocate ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’ — Dr. Quentin Young told attendees, “Number one on my list continues to be the insurance companies, the for-profit insurance companies.” One video below.

Labor Boss Says He Hopes to ‘Take the Corporate Community and Its Greed Out of the Picture’ – Former UAW International Executive Board Member Jerry Tucker said, “When we whip this health care crisis and we bring it into the bright place where it should be and we take the corporate community and its greed out of the picture, it will be such a major setback for them that it will open the door for many of the other struggles as well.”  One video below…

NOW President Announces Single-Payer Push – Terry O’Neill, president of the National Organization for Women, said, “I intend to roll out a national action campaign for single-payer health care.” Two videos below…

Victimhood Alive, Well at Single-Payer Conference – Ethel Long Scott, executive director of the Oakland, Calif.-based Women’s Economic Agenda Project, pinned the political “tail” on who — or, more precisely, what — is to blame for all of her woes:  “…this rotting, decaying capitalist system.”  One video below…

Single-Payer Advocates Told to ‘Get Arrested’ – Tim Carpenter, executive director of the ultra-liberal Progressive Democrats of America, told conference attendees they could “get arrested” and make a difference.  One video below…

Single-Payer Advocate Says White House Lost Debate on Government-Run Health Care – Michael Lighty, the former national director of the Democratic Socialists of America who now serves as public policy director of the ultra-liberal California Nurses Association, explained why he thought the White House lost the first round of the health care debate.  One video below…

NOW President O’Neill Slams Catholic Bishops — Terry O’Neill, president of the National Organization for Women, accused Catholic bishops of “smelling blood” and deciding to get involved as backers of the Stupak-Pitts Amendment.  One video below…

Labor Boss Acknowledges Own ‘Lambourghini Health Plan’ at Single-Payer Strategy ConferenceUnion heavyweight Jerry Tucker “spilled the beans” about union members enjoying not the Cadillac, but “the Lambourghini of health care plans.”  One video below…

Labor Boss Acknowledges Own ‘Lambourghini Health Plan’ at Single-Payer Strategy Conference

For those of you who need more evidence to explain how the nation’s Big Three Automakers ended up in such financial strife, take a look at the video I shot as the only journalist attending the 2009 Healthcare-Now.org National Strategy Conference Saturday afternoon in St. Louis.  It shows union heavyweight Jerry Tucker “spilling the beans” about union members enjoying not the Cadillac, but “the Lambourghini of health care plans.”

FYI: Tucker is a steering committee member for Labor for Single Payer, a director of the Healthcare Justice Education Fund, a former member of the UAW International Union Executive Committee and a co-founder of the Center for Labor Renewal.

To read more about the single-payer conference and it’s roster of liberal activists, including National Organization for Women President Terry O’Neill,” check out these posts, each of which includes videos of the speakers who addressed a crowd of about 100 liberals during the opening session of the conference.

Labor Boss Says He Hopes to ‘Take the Corporate Community and Its Greed Out of the Picture’

Advocates of single-payer health care will not stop there, according to Jerry Tucker, former member of the UAW International Executive Board who now represents the group, Labor for Single Payer.  Speaking during the opening session of the 2009 Healthcare-Now.org National Strategy Conference Saturday afternoon in St. Louis, he explained his vision for the future.

“Health care is but one of the fronts that we have to be concerned about in the struggle for social justice,” said Tucker, the second of six panel members to speak during the session.

“When we whip this health care crisis and we bring it into the bright place where it should be and we take the corporate community and its greed out of the picture, it will be such a major setback for them that it will open the door for many of the other struggles as well.”

Tucker, who claimed to have cut his teeth as a single-payer advocate in 1972 as Big Labor’s representative to advance legislation sponsored by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.), was very open to the audience he considered all-friendly, going so far as to admit that union workers once had “the Lambourghini” — not the Cadillac — of health care plans.

I’ve never had a Lambourghini or Cadillac plant.  Have you?

Below is the full-length video of Tucker’s statement I shot as the only journalist at the conference.

Radical Ideology Exposed at Healthcare-Now National Strategy Conference in St. Louis (Videos)

EDITOR’S NOTE 9/22/10:  Because portions of ObamaCare take effect tomorrow, I felt it important to reveal what I learned ten months ago when I crashed the national strategy conference of single-payer healthcare advocates held in St. Louis.  Please read and share the post below, watch and share the videos below and read my other posts about the conference.

If you thought the health care bill recently passed by the House was bad, you’ll shudder at what I captured on video this weekend at the 2009 Healthcare-Now.org National Strategy Conference at the Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet in St. Louis.

Though uninvited, I introduced myself as a journalist and gained access to the meeting’s opening session late Saturday afternoon.  There, I fully expected to find a room full of people in favor of the latest iteration of government-run health care.  Instead, I found more than 100 people voicing widespread opposition to the bill.

Unlike those who oppose government-run health care on strong Constitutional grounds, the conference attendees with whom I spoke said they oppose the bill because, first, it lacks a strong-enough public option component and, second, it does not include coverage to pay for abortions.

A look at the roster of conference attendees helps explain their radical ideology. It included representatives from most of 42 states where the group has a presence — including one from Hip Hop Congress — and a half-dozen liberal, progressive and socialist Democrat heavyweights who looked down on their audience from seats at the head table.  The names of those heavyweights appear below:

  • Dr. Quentin Young, the Chicago physician and Hyde Park resident who founded now leads Healthcare-Now.org;
  • Jerry Tucker, steering committee member of Labor for Single Payer and former UAW International Union Executive Board member;

Below, I share their entire messages, unedited and ranging from 4 to 10 minutes each, in the videos below which I shot as the only journalist at the conference.
