To take advantage of this offer, simply visit my Amazon author page during the first three days of this week and download electronic versions of my books per this schedule:

For 24 hours beginning just after 12:01 a.m. Monday, you can download the electronic book version of my first nonfiction book, Three Days In August: A U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier’s Fight For Military Justice (October 2011);

For 24 hours beginning just after 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, you can download the electronic book version of my second nonfiction book, The Clapper Memo (May 2013); and

For 24 hours beginning just after 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, you can download the electronic book version of my first crime-fiction novel, The National Bet (November 2014).

Of course, there are a few “catches” I can’t enforce: In exchange for the free books, I ask for your feedback about them — good, bad or ugly — as well as photos of yourself holding up your ebook reading device with my book cover(s) displayed on screen. In addition, I hope you’ll share your feedback on Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels. And beyond that, I hope you’ll purchase the paperback versions of the book — signed or unsigned — or support my work by clicking the donate button in the right sidebar of my website, BobMcCarty.com.

UPDATE 4/23/2015 at 7:40 a.m. Central: With barely 16 hours remaining on this free download offer, nearly 700 copies of the electronic versions of my books have been downloaded this week. Hurry to take advantage before time runs out!

UPDATE 4/24/2015 at 6:21 a.m. Central: The free downloads promotion ended at midnight with 898 free digital copies of my books being downloaded. I was surprised when my first crime-fiction novel, The National Bet, turned out to be almost twice as popular as my first nonfiction book, Three Days In August. I was even more surprised to see my second nonfiction book, The Clapper Memo, finish a distant third. Oh well, that’s how the cookie crumbles.

Posted by verified Amazon customer Amy Daniels, the 5-star review reads as follows:

“McCarty ingeniously builds a plot involving a national mass murder and takes you deep into the FBI investigation. He weaves a keen knowledge of changing technology, current political turmoil and real past events to nudge you into a possible future with his star character, Special Agent Joe-L Wilson. I hope to see more of Special Agent Wilson and I will be back if McCarty decides to make this a series. Exciting from beginning to end, I highly recommend this novel!”
