‘Rebranding’ Leaves Conservatives in Vacuum

In her New York Times column yesterday, Maureen Dowd used Shakespearesque language to describe Sen. John McCain’s seemingly-hopeless efforts to rid a $410 billion spending bill of $7.7 billion in earmarks:
